Meet Leah Heins
I am a graduate-level counseling intern completing clinical fieldwork as a part of a master's program in clinical mental health counseling with a neuropsychoanalytic orientation. My approach is informed by relational and trauma-informed perspectives, with attention to emotional development, attachment patterns, and the role of affect in experience.
My clinical work emphasizes careful listening, respect for individual developmental histories, and attention to the therapeutic relationship as a central component of the work. I value a reflective, collaborative process that supports emotional awareness and meaning-making over time. I am committed to providing thoughtful, ethical, and developmentally attuned care within the scope of my training.
